Small Business and Social Media

The Average face book user has 320 friends. If you have 1 customer a day post a photo of themselves at your venue or with your product, and that photo blast out to all their friends and followers in a week you will have reached 2,240 people, a month 9,600 and in a year you will reach 116,800 people!! That is the power of Social networking.

Technology is constantly improving and advancing our daily activities. This is especially true for business owners. Social media is an opportunity to make more money, save money, grow your business, reach more people in seconds than you did in a week, or even year. Developing an online presence is a necessity. A key in business is to be where the customers are going (online). You do not want to be the business always trying to chase the customer, or be the last to arrive where your competitors already are. Social media gives small businesses a new avenue to compete with their larger counterpart. Online, a small business can reach the same clientele abroad and can give out the same amount of information as large corporations do. Yes you have a fighting chance, be all that you can be!

Social media gives small business the power to cast a large shadow in this huge market industry. With 92% of companies now incorporating social media into their marketing efforts, it’s no longer sufficient to just “be there” on social networks.
