Mobile Optimization 2013

2013 WILL HAVE SOME OF THE BIGGEST GROWTH SPURTS IN MARKETING THAT WE’VE EVER SEEN.  “WOW’ lets read that sentence one more time….

Our daily interactions involving our smartphone’s, is quickly becoming more common, fast, simple, and easier then ever before. Not only are we able to view all of our social media accounts, but also easily post a picture to your social media site, capturing that very moment. Let’s not forget marketing 101, “a picture says a thousand words”! 🙂

I hope you have taken advantage of the convenient ability to buy and scan purchases such as.  Show tickets, movie tickets, even airline tickets as long as it has a bar code you can avoid lines by simply pulling up you purchase (ticket) on your smartphone.  A++ for convenience!! Today I can pay my bills, check local events, check my email, scan and send documents; and best of all, I actually prefer searching for business and restaurants via mobile!!

Why? Because when a business is set up properly for mobile compatibility, the contact number should pop up making it easy to call for availabilities with the simple touch of your finger. Even more convenient, when a business’ website is properly mobile compatible, our smartphones GPS can pick up that precise location, and again, with the simple touch of our fingers, “poof” you are where you want to be.

Some need to know mobile facts:

*70% of people in the U.S say they would like to receive offers on their mobile phones.

*There are 133 million smartphone users in the U.S. According to a Google study released last year, 94% of those smartphone users will use their phones to look up a local restaurant. Of those smartphone users 88%will call or walk through the door of the business they looked up within 24 hours. The insane thing is that less than 10% of restaurants websites are mobile optimized.  Don’t be the business that loses the customers that are clearly shopping FOR YOU!!!

 * Mobile now accounts for 12 percent of Americans’ media consumption time, triple its share in 2009. (Source: Digiday, 2013)

* 48% use or would like to use a smartphone to shop while in-store or on the go. (Source: Cisco, 2013)

 * 80% of smartphone owners want more mobile-optimized product information while they’re shopping in stores. (Source: Moosylvania, 2013)

*98% of text message are read, compared to only 22% of emails 29% of tweets and 12% Facebook posts. **Sending promotions and specials via mobile is far more effective!!!

These are facts and the longer you choose to ignore this the harder it will be to catch up. I CAN’T stress this enough! We are constantly digitally growing and moving. When properly educated, taught, and set up, the advantages are ENDLESS!Image

MAKE SURE YOUR WEBSITE IS MOBILY CAPABLE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!
